Bethesda Condos with Washers and Dryers

Bethesda condos with washers and dryers in unit are a must have for many buyers, so here is a check list for the buildings with that most wanted amenity!  Bethesda has lots of condos to choose from, but not all of them come with in unit washers and dryers.  If you are one of those people who MUST HAVE an in unit washer and dryer, keep reading here.

 

DOWNTOWN BETHESDA NEAR BETHESDA METRO

THE ADAGIO

The Adagio is a contemporary smaller and luxurious condo building in Bethesda at 6820 Wisconin Avenue with full amenities such as a gym, front desk, party room and terrace. The Adagio Condos in Bethesda are well finished with floor to ceiling windows and a sleek vibe. Everything that you could want is right around you – the Trader Joe’s, Target, Tatte,  Anthropologie, Levain and all the shops and stores in Bethesda.  The Adagio was built in 2006 and its glass walls and large balconies provided a welcome change from the traditional condominium buildings that Washington and Bethesda had seen before. There are no other tall buildings nearby so you have exceptionally good views from the rooms and balconies at the Adagio.There are 92 units at the Adagio ranging in size from  809 square feet up to 3500 square feet.   There are several floorplans ranging from a one bedroom one bath condo (809 square feet) to a one bedroom plus den with two full baths (900 square feet) to a two bedroom plus den and two and a half bath condo with 1300 square feet, a three bedroom three bath with over 1854 square feet – and then the largest with the 3500 square feet. 

THE CHASE

The Chase in downtown Bethesda offers ample sized condos and amenities like the pool and tennis courts, front desk, and washers and dryers in all the units. The Chase is pet friendly and walking distance to the Metro! This is one of the best values in Bethesda! With ample parking in the garage, you can leave your car downstairs and walk everywhere! The Chase is in the Bethesda Chevy Chase High School cluster, which is another fact that makes it so appealing! Your student can easily walk to BCC and Bethesda Elementary!

THE CHEVAL

Built in 2018, the Cheval luxury condo building is located at 4960 Fairmont Avenue, at the intersection of Fairmont and Old Georgetown Road.  With 71The Cheval condos on 17 levels plus first floor retail space, the Cheval is one of the tallest condo buildings in Bethesda.  Cheval was built by SK+I Architecture.   The kitchens at the Cheval have Caesarstone counters, large pantries, Bosch appliances, including a 6 burner gas stove with an upgraded venting system venting directly to the outside and a built in overlay refrigerator.  Of course there are washers and dryers in unit and the building is very pet friendly.

The Cheval offers an attractive first floor club room with fireplace and bar, a front desk, and an amazing rooftop social area with a bar, television, stylish yet comfortable sofas and seating, and breathtaking skyline views.  Other amenities include secure garage parking, lobby and available concierge services that include dry cleaning, mail, dog-walking and grooming, car detailing and in-residence catering. And if that’s not enough, residents also enjoy a yoga studio and a state-of-the-art fitness center.  Cheval luxury condo community is non-smoking in all common areas, as well as each condo unit.

CITY COMMONS OF BETHESDA

City Commons of Bethesda is a distinctive condo community with its stucco exteriors that remind one of the US Southwest. The homes are comparatively affordable and in a great location at the edge of the Woodmont Triangle. This small condo community is located at 8900 to 8934 Battery Place Bethesda, MD 20814! You can walk to two metros from the pet friendly City Commons!  At City Commons of Bethesda, you can choose from a 600 square foot one bedroom condo (on one level) to a 1334 square foot 2 bedroom 2 and a half bath condo on two levels.  The units have either a small patio outside the front door if they are lower level units or a balcony if they are upper level units.  There is ample assigned parking, although it is uncovered, in front of the units. Extra amenities include fireplaces and washers and dryers in each unit. City Commons of Bethesda is different from other condos in Bethesda on Battery Lane.   Instead of being a high rise, it truly is townhouse living on a smaller scale. As such, it offers access to the outdoors on your balcony or patio and just by being able to walk out your front door and into the sunshine.  No elevators or long corridors here! CRESCENT PLAZA

Located at 7111 Woodmont Avenue, the Crescent Plaza Condos in Bethesda, MD 20815 are very popular with people looking for well priced condos with a high walkability index, good schools and lots of amenities. Built in 2000, the condos have an open floor plan, balconies, parking, and washers and dryers in the units. The community allows pets which is great since you are so close to the Capital Crescent Trail – the picture perfect place to walk with your favorite canine. If you are relocating to Bethesda, Crescent Plaza should be high on your list!

THE DARCY

The Darcy built in 2015 has all the style and upgrades of a newer condo building with high end appliances and cabinetry, big windows and luxurious bathrooms. The Darcy in downtown Bethesda is perfect for people who want soft urban, seeking a small town feel in a little city close to a major urban city.  If you want a luxury condo building, then you should consider The Darcy as well as the Stonehall, the Adagio, Lionsgate, and the Cheval.  With only 88 units, the Darcy at 7171 Woodmont Avenue is small enough to know your neighbors.

The Darcy has a variety of  floorplans and views of downtown Bethesda from your terrace or balcony.  However, your selection depends on what is available at any given time.  Does the Darcy sounds like someplace you would like to live? EDGEMOOR AT ARLINGTON CONDOS

Edgemoor at Arlington, completed in 2003, was one of the first luxury buildings built in Bethesda with only eleven units, making it truly a boutique condo building. The Edgemoor at Arlington condos are a great option for empty nesters downsizing from the big suburban home or as a pied a terre for jetsetters! Young families will appreciate its location too since it is across from the library and a park and just a block from Bethesda Elementary. You can find this wonderful small condo building at 7405 Arlington Road, Bethesda, MD 20814.

With eleven units and typically two parking spaces per unit, the condos range from nearly 1200 square feet to over 2600 square feet. This boutique building is best recognized for its generous terraces and outstanding finishes. The building offers unusually large kitchens for condos with eat in space and adjoining breakfast areas.

The condos have Viking appliances and in unit washers and dryers, granite counters, walk in closets, and tray ceilings.  You will love the 9 foot ceilings, the large windows, hardwood floors, and beautiful terraces.   There are in unit washers and dryers at the Edgemoor at Arlington AND the building is pet friendly with no size restrictions.

EDGEMOOR CONDOMINIUMS

The Edgemoor Condos, boasting luxurious style and stately architecture, were built in 2003 by PN Hoffman. Ideally located in the heart of Downtown Bethesda, this condo community is within walking distance to some of the best restaurants and shops that Bethesda has to offer.  The Edgemoor at 4821 Montgomery Lane is a small, elegant condo community surrounded by the best of what Bethesda has to offer. The 54 owners enjoy living just steps away from the downtown Bethesda shops and restaurants, the Bethesda Metro station and Wisconsin Avenue.  The new Marriott headquarters is about three blocks away and Walter Reed and NIH are less than a mile away. The 54 owners enjoy living just steps away from the downtown Bethesda shops and restaurants, the Bethesda Metro station and Wisconsin Avenue.  The new Marriott headquarters is about three blocks away and Walter Reed and NIH are less than a mile away.

Built by PN Hoffman in 2003 the Edgemoor represents stately and timeless architecture combined with extraordinary attention to detail.  The condos have fireplaces, Juliette balconies, and typically two parking spaces.

The Fairmont Plaza offers versatile floorplans from efficient studios (424 square feet in Tier 14) to spacious two-bedrooms (up to 1,244 square feet.)  The one bedroom one bath condos are in Tier 2 (618 square feet,) Tier 3 and 11 (626 square feet,) Tier 6 (632 square feet,) Tier 7 and Tier 12 (634 square feet,) Tier 5 (637 square feet,) Tier 1 and Tier 9 (640 square feet,) Tier 8 (646 square feet,) and Tier 13 (668 square feet.)  The 10 Tier is 2 bedrooms and 1 bath in 817 square feet while Tier 4 offers two bedrooms and one bath in 824 square feet.  The largest unit is 902 with 1244 square feet and two bedrooms and two baths. There is a home for you, regardless of which what size you want.  This building is so popular that sometimes good friends or relatives each buy a unit in the building so they can be close to each other!  Fairmont Plaza offers in unit washers and dryers, garage parking and it is pet friendly.

HAMPDEN SQUARE

Hampden Square  is a small elegant condo community surrounded by the best of what Bethesda has to offer. The 37 owners (several units are actually commercial) enjoy living just steps away from the Woodmont Avenue shops and restaurants, the Bethesda Metro station and Wisconsin Avenue.  The new Marriott headquarters is about three blocks away and Walter Reed and NIH are less than a mile away.Located at 4801 Hampden Square, this condo building with 37 units was built in 1989. Hampden Square is just a few blocks from the Bethesda Metro and the start/end of the new Purple line.  The amenities at Hampden Square include underground parking, an elegant lobby, well equipped exercise facility, party room, and terraces.  The building is pet friendly.

Some of the larger units like #102 and #103 are bilevel homes with two bedrooms and two and a half baths.You will love the big terraces and walk in laundry rooms (with side by side washers and dryers) and the extra storage rooms!  Parking is no problem either with the garage entrance right next door.

THE LAUREN

Located at 4901 Hampden Lane, the Lauren has been setting luxury fashion trends in Bethesda since 2016.  The buildings’ amenities include an elegant lobby with 24-hour concierge & secure access, on-site management, engineering staff, plus a rooftop terrace with a caterer’s kitchen, the Onyx Lounge/party room with caterer’s kitchen, and a gym/fitness center. And the best part of all- you are literally steps from all the shops and restaurants Downtown Bethesda has to offer! From the moment you walk into The Lauren lobby, no other building defines luxury like this.  This building offers a variety of floorplans and unit sizes but all have in unit washers and dryers and the Lauren is definitely pet friendly.   If you are looking for a luxury condo building, you should consider the Cheval, the Stonehall and Somerset condos.

LIONSGATE

Lionsgate is a luxury condo building in downtown Bethesda with all the bells and whistles that you expect from a truly luxury building!  The roof deck offers great views and spectacular sunsets.  The front desk is always attentive and friendly.  The exercise room is fully equipped and the finishings in the units are exactly what you would choose if you had the task of building out a luxury condo!

While the kitchens are gorgeous and have great appliance packages, you may never use the kitchen except for your first cup of coffee in the morning because there are so many restaurants right outside your door – and the metro is just two blocks away!  No wonder it has a 100 walkability score!

From its address at 7710 Woodmont Avenue, Bethesda you have a very short walk to the Bethesda Metro or the NIH metro. The Lionsgate condos’ amenities include a gym, roof top terrace with grilling, library, clubroom and a fabulous staff: 24 hour concierge, valet parking, and doorman. Just outside the front doors awaits Bethesda’s vibrant urban community; restaurants, shopping, metro, theater and Marriott’s new HQ.

The condos have high end finishings in the kitchens such as Viking ranges and granite counters.  Juliet balconies bring in sunshine and give you great views of downtown Bethesda. The condos come with parking and storage. Depending on the size and layout of the unit, the washers and dryers are either stacked or side by side.

MADISON PARK

Bethesda condos with in unit washers and dryersMadison Park Condos at 5000 Battery Lane in Bethesda is perfect if you are looking for the best small condo building in the Woodmont Triangle. The condos have balconies, washer dryers in the unit, wood floors, big windows and great closets. It is just a short walk to two metro stops (NIH/Walter Reed and Bethesda) and it is pet friendly. The Madison Park is a small building with only 64 units ranging in size from  approximately 620 square feet up to nearly 1750 square feet.   There are several floorplans ranging from a one bedroom one bath condo (620 square feet) to a three bedroom two and a half bath with over 1700 square feet. Many of the condos have balconies or private terraces with some looking out on the green space of Bethesda.  In 2022, a 620 square foot unit with one bedroom and one bath had a condo fee of $327.  the condo fee for a 1077 square foot one bedroom, one and a half bath unit was $675.  A two bedroom two bath with 1388 square feet  was very reasonable $849 a month.  The penthouse unit with 1747 square feet had a condo fee of $1216.  By 2025, that same sized condo had a monthly fee of $1624.  Happily, the Madison Park condos are pet friendly.   To see what is for sale at the Madison Park now, if there is anything on the market, just click here.

QUARRY SPRINGS

Located just past Seven Locks Road on River Road, the two condo buildings and 44 townhomes at Quarry Springs offer  easy access to Washington, Bethesda and Potomac and the rest of the metro area by way of I-270 and the Beltway. This luxury gated community is so friendly, the amenities are so thoughtful and the surroundings so beautiful, why would you want to live anywhere else?  The two buildings of Quarry Springs offer exquisite, low-maintenance living in three-bedroom condominiums, with floorplans ranging from 3,400 to over 4,600 sq. ft.  Add in the terraces and balconies and some of the units are over 6000 square feet of living and entertaining space!  If you are ready to downsize into luxury, then Quarry Springs is the place to be, particularly if you want to be surrounded by serenity.  The condos offer premium wide-plank hardwood flooring, gas fireplaces in the living room with marble and wood surrounds, multi- wine coolers, Bosch and Wolf appliances, marble countertops and backsplashes and Waterworks faucets.

Fox Hill checks lots of boxes if you are searching for a community to downsize into that offers independent living, memory care and assisted living.  Fox Hill describes itself as a blend of outstanding amenities with the benefits of property ownership in a cosmopolitan 60+ retirement community.  Of course it has in unit washers and dryers – in addition to a dog park, virtual golf, your own wine storage, indoor pool and multiple restaurants.  Located just off River Road at 8300 Burdette Road, the Fox Hill Residences in Bethesda offer easy access to downtown Bethesda and Chevy Chase, Rockville and Potomac and the rest of the metro area by way of I-270 and the Beltway. The alpine style buildings that make up Fox Hill Residences are set in 16 acres of greenery, providing a campus like feeling that is perfect for taking walks with a friend or your favorite dog.

WEST LAKE PARK

West Lake Park Condominium is a perfect choice if you are looking for an affordable mid-century modern condo in Bethesda. You can find all the homes for sale or rent at West Lake Park located at 7425 Democracy Blvd. near the Westfield Montgomery Mall.  Since  West Lake Park is a small community near Montgomery Mall, I-270 and the Beltway there may not be any homes for sale at the moment – but check back again if this is where you want to live or give the Lise Howe Group a call and lets talk about your wants, needs, and dreams.

Built in 1975, West Lake Park Condominium offers spacious condos with balconies or patios and washers and dryers in the units.  For example, the two bedroom 2 bath units have 1241 square feet of living space.  The one bedroom one bath units have approximately 900 square feet of space.  The kitchens are large enough for a small table and the master bedroom has a walk in closet.   The spaciousness combined with a reasonable price make these condos very desirable to a savvy consumer.  West Lake Park is even pet friendly!

BETHESDA COURT

Bethesda Court is a small community of townhomes near Westfield Montgomery Mall which were built in the late 1970s. These townhomes typically have 3 levels, three to four bedrooms, a fireplace and a small, enclosed patio.  Located in the Walter Johnson HS district and the Ashburton Elementary School, these homes sell in the fall of 2025 in the $700,000s.  The washers and dryers and pet friendly atmosphere of Bethesda Court make these homes very popular.

BRISTOL SQUARE CONDOS

Bristol Square poolBristol Square in Bethesda is a small community of piggyback townhomes with balconies, washers and dryers, and a community pool. The community is pet friendly and a short walk to the Grosvenor metro and the performing arts center at Strathmore. Built in 1981, Bristol Square consists of 68 townhomes on Dudley Lane and Dudley Court and Bristol Square Lane.  It is popular because of its proximity to metro, the Beltway and I-270 and because the children attend the Walter Johnson High School Cluster

Two to three bedroom townhomes in Bethesda for less than $500,000 is great value.  Parking outside your front door, balconies or terraces, washers and dryers in your unit, fireplaces, pet friendly and two and a half baths are definitely valuable! Add the low condo fee with a pool to the whole picture and this is a community to keep in mind.
