What is Near West Lake Park Condominium?
West Lake Park Condos is just a few blocks from Montgomery Mall (or Westfield Mall as it is now called.) This Mall has undergone a recent transformation with the addition of lots of new stores.
If you are still hungry, look no further than the restaurants at the Wildwood Shopping Center, like Oakville Grille, Le Pain Quotidienne, and Chop’t – and don’t forget the new Pike and Rose, just two miles away. This blog would be too long if I included all the new shops and restaurants going in there.
You can’t always eat out though and occasionally you need a grocery store! The Giant at Democracy and Old Georgetown is there for staples (although it could certainly be updated!) and Balducci’s is across the street for all the gourmet items and wine you could ever want.
Enough about food! West Lake Park is just at the edge of Cabin John Regional Park.
Cabin John is one of Montgomery County’s best combinations of nature, sports and recreation. The park encompasses athletic fields, including the beautiful Shirley Povich Field, a full-service ice-skating rink; indoor and outdoor tennis courts, and many picnic areas, trails and camp sites. Kids of all ages can enjoy summer ball games and the miniature train that runs through the park. Many of the facilities are wheelchair accessible. From nature programs and hiking to playgrounds, sports and baseball – Cabin John has something for everyone!
Commuting from West Lake Park
Not everyone in a family all work in the same location and follow the same commuting patterns. In fact, many people don’t go to the same office every day! You may work in Virginia and upper Montgomery County, sometimes all in the same week. Some family members may head off to College Park for classes while others are driving to Leesburg or flying out of Dulles. Being tucked into a quiet subdivision twenty minutes from the nearest commuting road just doesn’t cut it!
Located close to the Beltway and I-270, this is the place to be for today’s commuter. You are just two minutes from the entrance to the Beltway and 270 and from there you can go north to Frederick, south to Virginia, Dulles and Leesburg, and east to Baltimore, College Park and Prince Georges County.
Getting to Walter Reed Medical Center is a breeze and doesn’t even require getting on the highway! This is really a commuter’s dream.
And if you haven’t been to your office for two years or more, imagine how lovely working from home will be in your spacious condo with big windows, lots of light, and a balcony or patio!

Some days you may feel like the market is enough to make your head spin! Is the market up or is the market down? Is it a buyer market or a seller market? There are a number of sites on the internet that will give you ‘estimates’ for what your home will sell for. These sites use public records and usually some kind of algorithm to try to produce a value for your home. These sites also publicly state their ‘error rates’. That means they aren’t correct, they are simply an estimate based on incomplete date. We would love to do a free comparative market analysis of your home or condo in Bethesda (or anywhere else in the market area) and let you know what could expect to get in today’s market if you are considering selling. Our valuation is based on up to the day data for homes that have recently sold in the area. Our valuation is not based on a formula that relies on public records which can take months to update.
