I am always about food! Please don’t miss my favorite breakfast places, Paul’s Bakery, Tatte, The Original Pancake House and the Tasty Diner. The nearest grocery stores are the Safeway at Arlington Road, and the Giant on Arlington Road, the Harris Teeter on Battery and Wisconsin, Trader Joe’s at Bradley and Wisconsin and a large Trader Joe’s north of Old Georgetown Road on Wisconsin.
There are lots of small stores in this part of Bethesda such as Blue Mercury and Urban Country. If you long for the big upscale stores, they are only a short distance away at Friendship Heights. Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s are only a mile away.
If you want to work out at the gym, you can choose from Equinox on Elm, Bethesda Sport and Health, or Corepower on Wisconsin Avenue. The condos in the 02 tier on the first, second and third floors are all under 2000 square feet but the unit 402 is over 2500 square feet. The condos in the 03 tier are all under 1700 square feet. There is no 03 unit on the 4th floor. Instead Unit 401 is 2435 square feet and Unit 402 is 2590 square feet. Seemingly, each unit is different even within the same tier. Schools
Children who live at the Edgemoor at Arlington Condominiums in downtown Bethesda attend Bethesda Elementary (home to a great Sunday morning farmers’ market), Westland Middle School and Bethesda Chevy Chase High School. BCC’s International Baccalaureate program is a great draw to that high school.
There are approximately 2,000 students enrolled at B-CC from more than 55 countries. Approximately 75 percent of students go on to attend a four-year college; 20 percent attend a two-year college. BCC High School recently completed a 94000 square foot addition for new classroom space. The new addition includes two wings that connect the existing building to enhance circulation. The design featured collaborative learning areas adjacent to classrooms and found spaces near vertical circulation for gathering, performances, and learning. A naturally lit stairway was incorporated in the new addition as well as a large dance room. The stadium and sports fields were completed in March 2019.
B-CC has been participating in the International Baccalaureate Program since 1996. The program provides students a liberal arts, interdisciplinary education leading to a diploma recognized throughout the world. Instead of pursuing a full IB diploma, students at B-CC may choose to take one or more IB courses (except Theory of Knowledge) and obtain a certificate for the successful completion of the requirements for each course (more on B-CC’s IB program).

For example, in late 2019, the condo fee for a 2748 square foot 3 bedroom 2.5 bath unit is approximately $1627 a month. By 2021 the condo fee for a 2750 square foot condo was $1907. The condo fee in 2019 for a 1539 square foot 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit with a sold price of $899,000 and a condo fee of $799.00 The condo fee includes master insurance, snow removal, exterior maintenance, and trash. Amenities include the elevators and extra storage. Each unit receives several parking spaces.
