The Chelsea Towers Condos is a high rise building just minutes to I270 & I495. Built in 1983 it has 238 units, from one bedroom one bath condos with 841 square feet to 882 square feet. The two bedroom two bath condos are approximately 1100 square feet in size, and then there are three bedroom two bath condos that are approximately 1300 square feet in size. Unlike the upscale buildings in downtown Bethesda, Chelsea Towers represents a real value in terms of price per square foot. An 800 square foot 1 bedroom 1 bath condo sold for less than $200,000 in 2015 but with a condo fee around $450 a month. A 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo sold in 2015 in the lower 200,000s, but the condo fee was in the $500s. A large three bedroom two bath condo sold into the mid $300s with a condo fee around $650. Fast forward to the end of 2021 and a one bedroom one bath with 859 square feet sold in October for $218,000 with a condo fee of $450.00. A one bedroom one bath is expected to come on the market soon for $199,000. A 1081 square foot two bedroom two bath sold in 2021 for $270,000 with a condo fee of $569. A 1273 square foot condo with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths sold for $350,000 in August with a condo fee of $676. A three bedroom sold in July 2021 for $339,000 on the first floor with a $674 condo fee. There is a three bedroom currently on the market in December 2021 for $379,000 with 1304 square feet and a condo fee of $686.
