Life at the Elizabeth at 4601 N Park Avenue in Friendship Heights is simple but wonderful. Everything you need is nearby from grocery stores like Amazon and Whole Foods to fine shops, good restaurants, movie theaters and parks. Located on N. Park Avenue along with most of the other condo buildings in Friendship Heights, the Elizabeth offers a full service lifestyle with an excellent front desk and gracious lobby. The Friendship Heights Metro is just a few blocks away and provides easy access to DC and the rest of the metro area. Parking is not a problem here with the parking garage and lots of spaces for the residents! Your pet is welcome too! And you will love the indoor pool and other amenities such as the party room, sauna and exercise room.
Sales History at the Elizabeth
In the last half of 2016, prices have ranged from $267,000 for a small one bedroom in the 05 tier to $715,000 for a 2 bedroom 2 bath plus den 1748 square foot condo that was made by combining two units. This unit featured an open kitchen with granite and stainless, renovated bathrooms, two huge master bedrooms suites plus a den and a family unit. There is an in unit washer/dryer plus extra storage and new high efficiency windows. The condo came with one garage parking space. In the first half of 2018, nine condos sold at the Elizabeth. Sizes ranged from $759,000 for a three bedroom condo with over 1500 square feet and $650,000 for a two bedroom, two bath condo with nearly 1400 square feet to $210,000 for a 993 square foot one bedroom. Thirteen properties closed at the Elizabeth in the later part of 2018. The sizes and prices ranged from $650,000 for a two bedroom two bath condo with 1423 square feet to $190,000 for a one bedroom one bath condo with 697 square feet of living space. In February 2019 one condo had sold and there were two properties under contract and seven on the market. Once we got through the COVID dark days of 2020, the condo market has picked up in Friendship Heights. Seven condos have sold in the first half of the year, ranging in size from $193,500 for a one bedroom with 708 square feet to two bedroom three bath condo with 2230 square feet for $750,000. There were also two homes on the market in July 2021 and one under contract and one temporarily off the market. By the end of 2021, eight properties sold at the Elizabeth, ranging in price from $210,000 for a 708 square foot one bedroom to $650,000 for a 1423 square foot two bedroom two bath condo on the 10th floor.

Built in 1975, the Elizabeth condos are a high rise building of eighteen floors and approximately 363 units in total, including several commercial properties. The smallest condos at the Elizabeth are a spacious 708 square feet for the one bedroom one bath units, found in 05 East tier. Larger one bedrooms in the 10, 12 and 15 tiers are 860-950 square feet of space. The 02 tier is still a one bedroom but with a bath and a half and nearly 1000 square feet of space. If you want large – then you should look for the 08 tier with 1650 feet of living space and three bedrooms and three full baths. Whatever your needs for space, there is a floor plan for you at the Elizabeth.
Amenities at the Elizabeth
The Elizabeth condo fees include gas and electric, water and sewer, common area maintenance and custodial services, exterior building maintenance, lawn maintenance, management, master insurance policy, reserve funds, trash removal, snow removal and trash removal. There is a 24 hour front desk and controlled entry. Other amenities include the indoor pool, sauna, exercise room, beautiful lobby with piano, media room, party room and satellite TV. There is even a shuttle that goes from the front door of the Elizabeth to the metro and shopping. Fees in mid July 2021 a one bedroom with 708 square feet on the 12th floor had a condo fee of $940 and the 2230 square foot condo on the 6th floor has a fee of $2204 a month. At the end of 2021, a two bedroom one bath 1080 square foot unit listed for $334,900 had a condo fee of $1115 per month. A two bedroom two bath unit with 1239 square feet and listed for sale on the 4th floor for $440,000 had a condo fee of $1259. The Elizabeth is pet friendly. The Elizabeth has washers and dryers in the unit. No walking down the hall to do your laundry. The Elizabeth has large balconies and ample parking in the garage.
What’s Near the Elizabeth in Friendship Heights?
The Elizabeth Condo building is just a few blocks from all that Friendship Heights has to offer and only a short mile stroll to downtown Bethesda north along Wisconsin Avenue. Metro access is available at the Friendship Heights metro stop. Grocery shopping is readily available at the large Whole Foods on Willard Avenue and at the Giant on Western Avenue, about a half mile away. Friendship Heights is like the Rodeo Drive of Washington with Cartier, Tiffany, Ralph Lauren, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Brooks Brothers all within sight of each other. If you don’t like to cook, there are many restaurants from Clyde’s to Lia’s and lots more in between. GEICO headquarters are less than a quarter mile away, and then you can also find the local Microsoft headquarters in Friendship Heights, and a variety of retail establishments and hotels, and medical and doctors’ offices. The Elizabeth in Friendship Heights is located in an excellent school district in Montgomery County. Children living here attend Somerset Elementary, Westland Middle, and Bethesda Chevy Chase High School. There are approximately 2,000 students enrolled at B-CC. Students come from more than 55 countries. Approximately 75 percent of students go on to attend a four-year college; 20 percent attend a two-year college.
B-CC has been participating in the International Baccalaureate Program since 1996. The program provides students a liberal arts, interdisciplinary education leading to a diploma recognized throughout the world.
