The Downside of Parkside Condos

While most people would agree that Parkside condos Is one of Bethesda’s smartest buys, it is important to acknowledge that there are some drawbacks to Parkside.

  • Parkside does not have in unit washers and dryers.  This is a deal breaker for some people.  If you must have a washer and dryer in unit, you might consider the Gables or Bentley Place, which both are nearby and are low rise condos, creating a similar feel to Parkside.
  • Parkside is not pet-friendly, which is really too bad since there are so many walking trails among the 60 plus acres that constitute Parkside.  (Of course, Parkside makes an exception for service animals and other documented support animals.)
  • Parkside was built in the 1960s and converted to condos in 1981.  While many have been renovated, you still have smaller bathrooms and fewer walk in closets. If you want a newer building, you might consider Fairmont Plaza, the Chase and the Christopher in Bethesda or the Sterling and the Gallery in North Bethesda.
