Bentley Place in North Bethesda

Bentley Place in North Bethesda, built in 1988, is a community of 240 condominiums in a number of small buildings with open stairwells to access units on the higher levels.  The buildings are  located in an 14 acre landscaped property.  The condos range from one bedroom one bath units to two bedroom two bath plus loft units .  They are on one level or two with a deck or patio, depending on the location within their building. Residents enjoy on site amenities such as tennis courts and an outdoor pool, as well as the ideal location for an easy commute to work and access to shopping, dining and entertainment.

Cabin John Park

Just a short drive along Tuckerman Lane brings you to the Cabin John Regional Park.  Here you will find a large ice skating rink, ball fields, tennis courts, a popular children’s train, a dog park, and miles of trails for walking and exploring.  Cabin John is one of Montgomery County’s most popular parks!

Strathmore Hall

Strathmore Hall is a wonderful addition to the cultural opportunities in the DC area and only a short walk from the Gables. The music offered at Strathmore ranges from the Baltimore Syphony and the National Philharmonic to the Hip Hop Nutcracker and Wynton Marsalis.  The Music Center is a warm and inviting space with glass walls, honey colored wood accent walls, and lots of windows.  The accoustics at the Music Center make this a popular venue for performers – and one beloved by Montgomery County residents.

Children living at the Gables attend Kensington Parkwood, North Bethesda and Walter Johnson.

Pets are welcomed at Bentley Place.  There are lots of places to walk or you might enjoy taking your dog to nearby TImberlawn park for a good run or check out the dog park at Cabin John.  Your cats will love sitting on the deck watching the birds or in a window overlooking the lawns and trees.

There are several sizes of condos at Bentley Place, and prices vary accordingly. There is a one bedroom model, a two bedroom model, the one bedroom plus loft style, and two bedroom plus loft style. For instance a one bedroom one bath model with 824 square feet sold in March 2015 for $274,350.  In October 2021, a one bedroom one bath with 824 square feet sold for $285,000.  The two bedroom unit with 953 square feet sold in the mid $330s in August 2015. In October 2021, a two bedroom unit with 969 square feet sold for $360,000.  A two bedroom with a loft (1278 square feet) sold in June 2015 for $405,000.  A similar unit with 1292 square feet sold in December 2021 for $422,000 and a two bedroom plus loft sold in January 2022 for $435,000.

In 2021-2022, the condo fee for a unit at Bentley Place ranges from approximately $300 to $400, depending on the size of the unit. In addition, there is an annual fee of $407 for the HOA amenities.

The condo fee includes common area maintenance, snow removal, trash, water, sewer, master insurance, and exterior building maintenance.  The amenities are the pool, tennis courts, tot lots and jogging trails.
