16 Pumpkin Spice Flavored Items that I am Avoiding!

Salted and sugared almonds are perfectly fine, but Blue Diamond pumpkin spice almonds? I’m not sure how I feel about this. I wouldn’t be surprised if pumpkin spice pecans existed or worse, pumpkin spice pumpkin seeds!

Pringles likes to come up with some clever flavors. There’s the pizza, crab, wasabi mayo, and even ramen. Pumpkin Pie Spice, however, now that’s just taking it too far. Once you pop these Pringles, you will definitely be able to stop. It’s a seasonal flavor, I get it, but you don’t have to put it in everything.

Honestly, I didn’t know that Brach’s was making so many different candy corn flavors.  Not only is Brach’s making pumpkin spice candy corn – of course, but there is Blackberry candy corn and Halloween chocolate sea salt candy corn in the shape of skulls and bones.

Not crazy about candy corn? Your mind might change (or be reaffirmed) with these new ones that were inspired by Thanksgiving. Brach’s has turned the classic holiday meal into candy, and it’s mind-boggling how this is even possible.

The Brach’s Turkey Dinner Candy Corn consists of six different flavors: Green Beans, Roasted Turkey, Cranberry Sauce, Ginger Glazed Carrots, Sweet Potato Pie, and Stuffing. That means you get the main, sides, and dessert all in one bag. Who even needs a real Thanksgiving dinner? OK, let’s not get crazy here.

I’m all for trying different hummus flavors and even making my own. Beet, jalapeño, and cilantro, artichoke, and feta, but pumpkin spice? You just made my heart cry.

If you thought KFC chicken scented candles were ridiculous, then wait until you bite into a crispy, crunchy pumpkin and feta chicken twister. I can’t even imagine a world in which pumpkin and feta co-exist!  This is taking pumpkin spice flavored items too far!

If you’ve never had an Umami burger, let me preface by saying they make a tasty burger. Don’t be fooled by the looks of this burger, however, it’s a pumpkin spice latte burger.

Whatever evil force possessed them to come up with this pumpkin-flavored burger is beyond me. While I have yet to try it, something tells me there’s a reason it hasn’t reared its ugly head in a few years.

My daughter loved Twinkies when she was growing up.  But can you imagine a pumpkin spice-infused Twinkies cream? Uhhh, probably better than the Twinkie with banana cream filling – with all that artificial banana flavoring.

This one actually made me sad.  There is one time a year and one time a year only when it’s acceptable to eat PEEP’s, and that’s Easter. Then these gooey, sugar-coated weirdly colored chick-shaped marshmallows at least taste nostalgic. Plus I love the Peep’s competition in the Washington Post magazine section each year.

So while Peep’s may think coating them in chocolate may make them more appetizing, you can’t mask the flavor of pumpkin spice.

Peeps made me sad but the Spam kind of scares me!  Thank heavens it is a limited edition!  Did you know spam is made in Minnesota and it is very popular in Hawaii? It only has six ingredients – except when it during pumpkin spice season and it is considered a luxury in Korea! Wow – who knew?

The Crest pumpkin spice flavored toothpaste may be a joke, but this isn’t. You can actually buy toothpaste that tastes like pumpkin pudding.

Did I mention this brand also sells one that leaves your mouth fresh full of the flavor of Indian Curry? Seriously, I’m not making this up.

After you are ready to step out on the town, you can oil up your beard with a pumpkin spiced scent.   This must be what Charlie Brown from Snoopy would use when he started to grow a beard!  Is this how you put some pep in your step and some spice in your life? UGH!

According to the company’s website, their pumpkin spice latte deodorant is inspired by everyone’s favorite fall drink, our PSL deodorant is made with sweet and cozy notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloveNative Deodorant isn’t a chemistry experiment, and is made without aluminum, parabens, phthalates, and talc.  It also is not tested on animals.  I like all those things – just not sure how I feel about pumpkin spiced latte deoderant!  On the other hand, you can try other Native deodorants like Charcoal, Eucalyptus and Mint, or Coconut Milk and Turmeric – and let me know what you think! 

I love the smell of a dog when he has just come back from the groomer! But I don’t think I am ready for pumpkin spiced dog shampoo! What did your pup ever do to you? Sure, they may have eaten a bag of Hershey’s kisses and tried to bite the mailman, but does that mean you should bathe them in pumpkin spice?

Hate the smell of your musky car? Well, you may love the scent of this pumpkin spice detail.  It is probably better than those cardboard things you could buy to hang from your rear view mirror.  Then again…. maybe not.

This is simply absurd. Rather than using real spices, you can spray the flavor of pumpkin spice unto whatever it is you’re using. Kind of like perfume, you can coat your food in this wafting scent. Whatever happened to just using good old-fashioned pumpkin spice?

Words simply fail me on this one!  Why bother flavoring kale? If you don’t like the taste, then eat something else healthy!
